NASA is about to roll its Artemis II moon rocket back to the Vehicle Assembly Building to fix a helium flow issue that guarantees astronauts won't fly around the moon in March.
Because of the Moon’s orbit around the Earth, launches to the Moon have to be planned with specific timing in mind. That said, because NASA is moving Artemis II off the launch pad in the next few days, there’s some confidence that an April 2026 launch date can still happen.
Engineers were able to fully fuel NASA's Artemis II moon rocket without any signs of leaks like the ones that derailed an earlier dress rehearsal.
