NASA scientists have developed new tools to monitor plant growth using data from the PACE satellite. Land managers could use this information to detect sudden drops in plant productivity and better respond to heat stress, droughts, and cold snaps. Scientists have previously used data from NASA’s Terra and Aqua satellites, which have instruments that can analyze the specific wavelengths of light related to photosynthesis. However, the instrument on PACE captures a much broader range of the light
